Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Mark 16:15. In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus’ last words to his apostles point to His saving mission and to their mission to be witnesses of his death and glorious resurrection and to proclaim the good news of salvation to all the world. These early followers of Jesus actively cared for the poor, orphans, travelers, and provided Church leaders with whatever was needed to spread the good news of the Gospel. As Jesus’ followers and friends today, we too are called to care for one another and to share the good news of the Gospel with the world.
Next weekend, the 2023 Annual Catholic Appeal, WE ARE THE MISSION OF THE CHURCH, begins at our parish. The ACA helps our educational, charitable, and spiritual ministries bring the heart and hands of Jesus to children, young adults, families, and neighbors through-out our Diocese. Please prayerfully consider making a joyful sacrificial contribution to this year’s Appeal.
